Meet The Intentional Coach
I am Gabr'l Stackhouse, and I founded The Intentional Coach because I believe no leader should navigate the challenges of leadership alone. As a seasoned educator and school leader, I understand the weight of expectations and the pressure to provide all the answers. I have seen how intentional, research-driven leadership transforms school communities and drives student success.

I focus on purposeful, intentional leadership by delivering practical tools, proven strategies, and meaningful support to create lasting change in schools. Leadership is multifaceted, and no one can master every aspect alone. Partner with me to transform your school community through intentional and impactful leadership.
My Story
I have dedicated over 20 years to education, passionately fostering equitable and inclusive learning environments. As a first-generation college graduate, I intimately understand the challenges many learners face, shaping my unwavering commitment to education. I began my journey as an elementary school teacher, where I witnessed the transformative power of effective instruction and the importance of nurturing every student's potential. This experience ignited my advocacy for all learners, particularly those from historically marginalized backgrounds.

Throughout my career, I have served as an instructional coach, assistant principal of instruction, principal, and district leader, consistently focusing on empowering educators and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. I prioritized teacher development through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), guiding educators to strengthen their pedagogical knowledge and instructional practices. My dedication to teacher growth and collaborative learning culminated in an extraordinary opportunity: co-authoring my first book with renowned math educator Sue O'Connell.
My experiences in roles ranging from instructional coach to district leader deepened my passion for teacher development and the impact of effective instructional leadership. These roles demonstrated the transformative potential of strong leadership in fostering meaningful teacher growth, driving me to pursue doctoral studies. As a doctoral student, I actively research instructional practices, teacher development, and K-5 mathematics education, exploring evidence-based strategies to create lasting impact.

Leveraging the latest research and extensive experience, I provide school leaders with actionable, research-based tools designed to drive meaningful change. Through coaching, professional learning, and online courses, I provide strategies grounded in evidence and refined through real-world application, enabling leaders to cultivate inclusive and engaging learning environments where teachers and students excel.
